I have been an avid yoga practitioner for over a decade. I began
my yoga journey as great cross-training for dancing and found it
affected all aspects of my life. I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training through Corepower Yoga in Boulder, Co. I am also a Certified Rolfer: SI and bring my knowledge of anatomy and somatic experience into my teaching. I teach a vinyasa flow class that focuses on the breath,
alignment, and beneficial modifications. My main goal as a yoga
teacher is to demystify yoga and to help every student in the room
understand their own unique body and be confident with modifying any
and all poses. I have a very hands-on approach to teaching and
believe that touch is very important to our sense of self. I also believe that a safe, helpful touch is more powerful than verbal cues alone. Additionally, I have an M.A. in religious studies and with this background, have athorough understanding of the Hindu and Buddhist basics that ground all American yoga traditions.
