I started practicing yoga 17+ years ago when I read about it emerging as the latest "exercise" trend here in the US. However, once I started I was hooked! I noticed that it not only changed my body (stronger, more flexible, better balance, etc!) but it also changed my MIND. I was less stressed and able to cope more effectively with my day-to-day stressors as well as be more patient and understanding with others. It became so much more than just a physical practice. Since then I have trained with Amy Weintraub and received certification as a Life Force Yoga Practitioner Level I (2011) which uses yoga techniques to manage mood. In 2016 I completed my 200 hour Vinyasa Yoga certification at Breathing Room with Lily Dougher and Margo Rosingana in South Portland. Additionally, I have done trainings in Yoga Nidra (Shiva Shakti Yoga School), Restorative Yoga (with Margo Rosingana), The Science of the Private Yoga Lesson (with Francesca Cervaro) and Yin Yoga/Meditation with Sagel Urlacher. I'm a total #yoganerd and read/study about yoga and other spiritual practices and modalities daily. I'm currently pursuing my 500 hr teacher training. My goal is to share the amazing gift of Yoga with people of all ages and abilities so that they can achieve emotional, physical and spiritual well-being.
